serene gion ryokan stay

The location was excellent. Gion and pontocho were close. many restaurants were nearby. i walked easily to the subway and bus. the staff was helpful and kind! the breakfast each morning offered delicious japanese cuisine.
The air conditioning was difficult to adjust. I could only request it to be turned off entirely.

i really loved the kind staff they were very helpful the location was great being close to attractions sleeping on the futon bed was surprisingly comfortable i enjoyed how the staff explained the breakfast dishes it was a culturally rich experience
the futons were old and felt a bit dusty it was a very slight issue though
